Our friends, Jeff & Cin gave us this delightful ginger plant. We planted it in a washtub, gave it plenty of water and partial shade...look at the beautiful blooms! I've read that planting ginger in the soil helps fix nitrogen by promoting beneficial bacteria, nematodes, and fungi in the soil. Next year, I plan to plant it directly in the garden.

Very pretty! Are you planning on using the ginger?
I've moved it into the green house. Next year I want to plant what I havent used directly in the garden.
