The Short Mountain Sanctuary

Hairy Martha and the Emperess of Everything had a delightful, if short, visit to the Radical Faerie Sanctuary at Short Mountain. Although many of my friends were away for the summer, I had the pleasure of being asked to sit for a sketch by old friend, Jai Sheronda. Faeries and friends gather for a Sunday Night Pot Luck. Lucky for us, indeed! We were hungry after the long journey through Tennessee! Here are a few pictures of this beautiful place! Notice the fog in the hills above the barn. How Avalon-esque! Keep an eye out for faerie Sandor Ellix Katz's two books, Wild Fermentation, & The Revolution Will Not Be Microwaved. He and I share an interest in pickling. Sandorkraut is more motivated than me in the writing department. He's currently touring Italy promoting The Revolution.

Brings back memories. I recognize the kitchen, the barn and the Octagon. My friend Ravel/Ross lived in the Octagon while I was there.
